The Hit the Road Dude meme comes from a 2025 TikTok clip of an older man in a white pickup telling two people fishing at a pond that it is private, not state, property. In October 2026 it came back as AI remakes where cats and dogs sit in the driver’s seat. Upload one photo of your pet, a friend or yourself and get a 10-second vertical clip with the lines spoken out loud.

What is the Hit the Road Dude meme?
The original is a short, shaky phone video from August 2025: a man in a white pickup pulls up to two people fishing and tells them the pond is private property, ending the conversation with “hit the road, dude.” Lines like “State? This ain’t no state property” and “lock ’em up” spread as sounds and GIFs.
In October 2026 the clip returned as an AI trend: creators recast the driver as their pets, a cat in a banana hat, a pit bull in a plaid shirt, while keeping the lines. This generator builds a new scene from your photo; it does not use the original footage or the original person.
