What Step Into the Scene collects, why, and how to have it deleted.

Step Into the Scene ("we", "us") is a web app that turns one photo into a short AI video. This policy explains what we collect when you use stepintoscene.com and what we do with it. Questions: support@stepintoscene.com.

What we collect

  1. Photos you upload. We use each photo only to generate the video you asked for. Photos are sent to our AI video provider for that purpose and are not shown to other users.
  2. Videos we generate for you. Stored so you can download them. Without an account they are offered for 3 days. With an account they stay in your account until you delete them or ask us to.
  3. Account details, if you create an account: email address, name, and a hashed password (or your Google sign-in).
  4. Payment details. Payments are processed by Creem (our merchant of record) or PayPal. We receive the order status, amount and the email used at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
  5. Usage and device data: pages visited, buttons used, approximate country, browser and device type, collected with cookies or similar technology to keep the site working and to understand which features people use.

Why we use it

  • To generate and deliver your videos.
  • To process payments, send receipts and handle refunds.
  • To prevent abuse, such as fraud or prohibited content.
  • To improve the site using aggregated usage statistics.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your photos or videos to train AI models.

Who we share it with

  • AI video providers (such as fal.ai), only to generate your video.
  • Payment providers (Creem, PayPal), only to process payments.
  • Hosting and storage (Cloudflare), to run the site and store files.
  • Analytics providers, with aggregated or pseudonymous data.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Uploaded photos: kept only in our AI provider's temporary file storage to generate your video. We don't keep them in our own storage.
  • Videos made without an account: offered for download for 3 days, then no longer available to you. Ask us any time to delete them.
  • Account data and videos in an account: until you delete the account or ask us to.
  • Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Write to support@stepintoscene.com from the email linked to your account or purchase. We reply within 30 days.

Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 16. Do not upload photos of other people without their permission.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
