Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not create with Step Into the Scene, which AI models we use, how we moderate content, and how to report a video.
Last updated: 2026-10-17
Step Into the Scene ("we", "us") turns one photo into a short AI-generated video. This policy covers everything that goes through the service: the photos you upload, the scene prompts we send to the AI model, and the videos it generates. It is part of our Terms of Service. Questions: support@stepintoscene.com.
AI models we use
Every video on this site is generated by one of these models. The generator shows the model for the scene and quality you pick before you generate.
- Wan 2.6 Flash by Alibaba (Wan): the "Day of the Dead pet" scene, in standard (720p) and HD (1080p).
- Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite by xAI: the "Hit the Road Dude" scene, in standard (720p) and HD (1080p).
We run these models through fal.ai, an AI model hosting platform. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Alibaba, xAI or fal.ai, and "Step Into the Scene" is our own product name. If we add or change a model, we update this list and the generator first. Every video is AI-generated, and we say so on every scene page.
Prohibited content
You must not use the service to create any of the following six kinds of content:
- Pornography or sexual (NSFW) content, including nudity and sexualized poses.
- Violence or gore, including realistic injury, death or cruelty to people or animals.
- Hate speech: content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits.
- Child-unsafe content: any sexual content involving minors (CSAM), or anything that exploits or endangers children.
- Deepfakes or impersonation of real people: videos that put another real person's face or likeness into a scene, make them appear to say or do something they did not, or pretend to be someone else.
- Copyright or trademark infringement: photos you don't have the rights to, or content that copies someone else's characters, artwork, logos or brands.
Zero tolerance
We immediately remove the content, close the account, keep no refund, and where the law requires it report to the authorities (for child sexual abuse material, to NCMEC or the competent local authority) when content involves:
- Child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors.
- Terrorism, extremism or mass violence, or incitement to genocide or ethnic hatred.
- Deepfakes of real people, such as face swaps, "nudify" edits, intimate-scene compositing, or fabricated statements or actions, whether or not the person agreed.
Other prohibited conduct
- Spreading misinformation, or presenting a video as real footage of an event.
- Impersonating a real person, brand or organization.
- Passing off an AI-generated video as human-made where that would mislead people.
- Bulk-generating spam, or using the service for fraud or harassment.
- Trying to get around our safety checks, for example by retrying a blocked photo with small edits.
Photos you upload
You may only upload:
- photos of your own pet or animals you have permission to photograph, or
- photos of yourself, or of a person who has given you explicit permission for this use.
Do not upload photos of other people without their consent, photos of public figures or celebrities, or photos of children unless you are their parent or guardian and the result is non-sexual and harmless. Before uploading you confirm that you have these rights.
How we moderate content
Moderation runs before, during and after generation:
- Fixed prompts. You can't type a prompt. Each scene uses a prompt written and reviewed by us, so no user text reaches the AI model.
- Photo check before generation. Every uploaded photo is checked by an automated image-safety classifier (fal.ai's NSFW image detector) before any video can be made from it. Photos flagged as sexual are rejected. If the check can't run, the upload is rejected and you are asked to try again.
- Model safety filters on input and output. Both video models run with their providers' safety checkers turned on (Wan by Alibaba, Grok Imagine by xAI). They screen the photo and the generated video and refuse requests that break their policies. A refused generation is not charged: the credits go back to your balance.
- Human review. Every report is reviewed by a person (see below). We also spot-check generated videos regularly.
- Records. We keep a log of moderation decisions (automated verdicts and human review outcomes) to improve our checks and to handle appeals.
Videos are private. They are only visible to the person who made them, through their account or the browser they used. There is no public gallery on the site.
Reporting content
If you see a video made with Step Into the Scene that breaks this policy, or a video that uses your face, your photo or your work without permission, please report it.
- Email: support@stepintoscene.com, with "Content report" in the subject.
- Include, if you can: a link to the video or where you saw it, what is wrong with it, and, if it is about you, how we can confirm that (for example a photo of you). Do not send copies of illegal material: describe it and tell us where it is.
We keep the reporter's identity confidential and never share it with the person reported. Every report is reviewed on its merits. Reports that are knowingly false or abusive may lead to action against the reporting account.
What happens after a report
- Received. We confirm receipt by email.
- Triage. We classify the report by severity.
- Review. A person checks the video, the original photo and our moderation log.
- Decision and action. We take one of the actions below.
- Reply. We tell the reporter the outcome. If the account owner is affected, we tell them too, with the reason.
Response times:
- Critical (child safety, terrorism, non-consensual intimate content, deepfakes of real people): first response within 24 hours. The content is disabled while we review it, and the case is resolved within 24 hours.
- High (other sexual, violent or hateful content, impersonation): first response within 24 hours, resolved within 3 business days.
- Other (copyright, trademark, spam, other policy issues): first response within 3 business days, resolved within 7 business days.
If a case needs more time, we tell the reporter why.
Enforcement
Depending on how serious the violation is, we may:
- Delete the video and the uploaded photo.
- Warn the account owner.
- Suspend or permanently close the account, and block new purchases from it.
- Withhold refunds of credits spent on prohibited content.
- Report the content to law enforcement where required, and keep the related records as the law requires.
Appeals
If you think we acted on your content by mistake, email support@stepintoscene.com with "Appeal" in the subject within 30 days. Someone who did not make the first decision reviews it, and we reply within 7 business days.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
